Detailed Day Wise Itinerary
-
Day 1: Agadir » Taroudant » Ait Benhaddou » Ouarzazate[376Km]
After having breakfast at your riad/hotel, your first day of the Sahara desert tour will start from Agadir at around 8:00 am. You'll head to Ouarzazate through Taroudant, where you'll take a quick look at its historical walls and markets. Then, you'll continue to the famous fortified Ksar of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987. Following lunch in the Kasbah, you'll proceed to Ouarzazate, a city known as the "gateway to the desert" in southern Morocco. Situated at the meeting point of the Ouarzazate and Dades river valleys, it forms the Draa downstream. Ouarzazate is a place where you'll encounter many kasbahs, mountains, valleys, oases, palm groves, and charming ocher villages. You'll spend the night in Ouarzazate.

Day 2: Ouarzazate » Skoura » Dades Gorges » Todra Gorges » Merzouga[367Km]
We'll leave Ouarzazate around 8:30 am and head to Skoura, known for its charming kasbahs in the southern region. Our journey takes us through the Roses Valley, with a 50km off-road adventure via Ait Youl Kasbah before reaching Boulmane. Then, we'll make our way to Tinghir, which offers fantastic views and the impressive Todra Gorges Canyons. Next, we'll drive to Tinjdad for lunch and a visit to the Touroug Palms Plantations. Our route takes us to Erfoud town, where we'll explore a local fossil craft workshop. Continuing, we'll reach the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi and Merzouga. To experience the sunset on the dunes, we'll switch from our vehicle to camels for a ride to a traditional nomad camp. Dinner is included in this memorable overnight experience.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert » Draa Valley » Agadir[650Km]
Early in the morning, we'll catch the sunrise in the desert, and it's totally worth getting up early. Picture this: you're on top of a dune, and it's the most amazing sunrise ever.

We'll pass through the dry pre-desert area, spotting the unique acacia trees along the way. On our route to the Draa Valley, we'll make some stops to soak in the scenic views of the river that gives the valley its name. This river is the longest in Morocco, stretching across the entire country and reaching Mauritania.
